WINTER SPORTS HOLIDAYS IN AUSTRIA IN THE Pölstaler Berghütte
Close to a developing ski arena; the Lachtal , and close to many other ski-resorts
The Lachtal ski resort is located in the Murtal region. It is easily accessable from Niederwölz oder Judenburg, but very near to the Pölstaler Berghütte
At this location you have multiple elevators ( liffts) when parking at the enrance of the Lachtal arena. From the B&B you can go by car straight to the top of the Lachtal-arena in the mornig, avoding waiting time and extra travel time via the vallue access.
From the B&B you will turn right and you have 1 single road to the Klosterneuburgerhútte.And in teh evenng back in few minute drive.
There are also many other ski areas in the surroundings and the closest is Obrzeirging ski arena. This is very small, but easily accessibe chao and really for small children or for to=hose who start skying.
The Lachtal ski-resort.
Das Lachtal ist das zweitgrößte Skigebiet in der Steiermark und eines der schneesichersten Pistengebiete. Das Zentrum der Aufzüge ist das auf 1600 Metern gelegene Schönberg-Lachtal. Die breiten Pisten, unendliche Schneefelder, schneesichere südliche Abhänge, der bequeme Sechssitzer Aufzug (Sitzheizung, Windschutzkordon), und die typischen Hütten machen den Winterurlaub unvergesslich. Das Skivergnügen wird durch den 2 Sechssitzer Aufzügen gesichert. Zusätzlich befinden sich hier noch 7 Aufzüge, wie die Baby-Drahtseilbahn, ein Tellerlift und 5 Ankerlifte. Die insgesamt 26 km langen Pisten sind gut instand gehalten und haben überwiegend den roten Schwierigkeitsgrad. Lachtal ist der ideale Ort für Familien, Gruppen, Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene.

Skiing fun around Oberzeiring
Several ski areas can be reached by car in the area. It is rather not possible to ski from the house and return.
By car you either go up to the Lachtal (the Kosterneuburgerhütte; approx. 10 minutes drive) or down to Oberziering (approx. 5 minutes drive) or also to the Lachtal Talstation (approx. 15 minutes drive).
The roads are normally kept clean, but in winter you never know 100%; so bring snow chains!
You can practice all winter sports in the area and there is also an ice rink nearby in Judenburg (20 minutes drive); skiing, cross-country skiing, schneeshuhwanderungen, snowboarding, fun park. The slopes are open from December till end of March.
